Atopic eczema can flare up and require localised rather than large scale treatment. Patch wrapping using Epaderm emollient, a piece of Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage and following the wet or dry wrap technique can provide localised relief and effective treatment.

To wet wrap: Wash affected area. Apply emollient, a piece of wet bandage and then cover with a piece of dry bandage.

To dry wrap: Wash affected area. Apply emollient and a piece of dry bandage.

Take a length of Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage and tie a knot in one end. Holding the knot, scoop an amount of Epaderm into the middle of the bandage. Then tie another knot in the other end. The emollient will then soak through the bandage and act as a soap.
