The latest 'traditional' animation from the Mouse House isn't really worthy of it's predecessors, and can't really compare to fellow Disney, the computer-generated 'Finding Nemo' or other contemporary traditional animations such as Spirited Away or Belleville Rendez-Vous.
After his brother is killed by a bear, angry native American Kenai (voiced by Joaquin Phoenix) kills the bear in revenge. The spirits however decide to punish him and show him things from a different perspective by transforming him into a bear.
With it's heavy handed moralistic, sentimental messages and a poor collection of songs by Phil Collins that are at best mercifully brief, this is two-hours' entertainment for the little kids, but no Disney Classic.
