The conclusion to the Lord of the Rings story, 'The Return of the King' is a magnificent piece of cinema.
Sacrificing very little of the book, the film moves between several story threads without becoming confusing or dull.
The special effects, of course, are incredible even though by now we are accustomed to Middle Earth. That they never feel artificial is a testament to their success. This story however has always been about the characters and their personal quests. All the cast are excellent, delivering performances from comedic, heroic, to evil and tragic.
A stunning film in its own right, as part of the whole it is a modern classic that will most likely be looked back on as the Star Wars of this generation. |

| Return of the King is the beszt film I have ever seen. The special effects are amazing and Peter Jackson has directed this film beautifully. He fantastically moves between three different story- lines. Elijah Wood and Sean Astin play the roles of Frodo and Sam better than any other actor. I loved the way they showed the love and friendship between the characters and what they were going through. Absolutely brilliant!!!! |
