This new instalment in the Mario Party series doesn't really alter the formula.
Basically a board game that you move around, while playing a variety of subgames such as speedboat slaloms and ice cream collecting.
The main problem with the game is that it feels completely random - hazards and rewards are dumped on players with little obvious reason, and the game feels more like a game of chance than of skill. That said, if played with a group of friends, this can be a lot of fun.
If you already have a Mario Party game, think twice before buying this. If you don't have one, then try hiring before you buy...
