Hi, I wanted to share that I have found a line of products that absolutely give relief and management of several skin conditions such as eczema, psoraisis, rosacea and the like. I myself began using the product 2 years ago for eczema and I had been fighting it for 19 years after working on an oil spill. I had tried everything but finally found products that work. There are products for babies on up. The very best news I can give you is that they will be available in the UK in Nov. If you would like information, you may contact me.

Has anyone tried this stuff for eczema relief ?

Stats wanted for dry skin sufferers in the UK

Hi there --
I'm doing some research into dry skin and dry skin sufferers, and have been looking for some credible statistics on how many people in the UK suffer from dry skin. It seems simple enough, but I can't find anything. I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the direction of either some published studies or research by a trusted organisation, such as BAD or someone similar.
Many thanks,
Jay

I am still in shock! She has had horrible eczema for the past 4 1/2 years. We have tried EVERYTHING natural and prescription. I have spent countless hours researching eczema and dragging her to doctors, dermatogolists and allergists. Here is a small partial list of things we have tried over the years:
Zyrtec and Singular for her allergies, Elidel and Protopic ointment, Aquaphor, Eucerin, Gold Bone lotion, soaking in sea salt, lavendar oil, emu oil and countless "eczema" balms and lotions bought at health food shops, online and at craft fairs.
We used All Free and clear to wash her clothes on until I realized it isn't much better than regular because it still contains detergents. For that, we discovered vermontsoap.com and a wonderful product called liquid sunshine that you can use as a laundry soap and dilute to clean with. It is great too and has helped a great deal. The president of the company has eczema and has really made some great products.
Okay, enough babbling about what we have tried. I waited weeks after realizing how wonderful the res-q ointment works to post because I thought it might be a fluke and I didn't want to give anyone false hope. It has almost cleared up her eczema and NOTHING has ever done that ever. She has it the worst in the crease of her elbow and wrist area and after about a week or so of using it two or three times a day, she is almost totally clear there too. I am so happy I could cry.
We still obstain from acidic foods because they seem to be a trigger for her. And we only use Vermont Soap Company soap (their butter bar is AWESOME) on her. They make a shampoo bar as well. And we have an allergy cover on her pillow and mattress because dust mites are a trigger for lots of kids with eczema. We wash her bedding in hot once a week.
I bath her every other day and put the res-q ointment on her spots (or where they used to be) before school, when she gets home and before bed. After a bit to let it soak it, I will also apply Aquaphor all over her for added moisture. She is a different child. Able to sleep through the night without scratching, able to concentrate at school.
I can't believe I am just now finding this wonderful product. I think it took four days before I noticed any difference with her. I'm sure we will still deal with flare-ups, but nothing has ever worked this good including steriod cream! Oh, and the best part is it is all natural and cheap and you just use a bit. Okay, I sound like an infromercial, but this stuff is AWESOME!!!

Does anyone have this? It appears on hands and feet. It starts as dozens of small tapioca-like vesicles in the skin after only seconds of scratching. I've got all forms of eczema but this seems to be apparent right now and I'm embarassed about my hands looking red w/ raised skin and bumps. Please offer any preventative/soothing solutions.

I have just had radiotherapy for post surgery DCIS (ended 21st Sept) and am going to India on holiday and want to be able to swim. Could I use Epaderm to prevent the swimming pool water from 'reaching' the skin? I know I have to keep it out of the sun by the way. I can't find a 'contact us' on this site to ask. Thanks very much. I am a health worker by the way.

Has anybody tried a "cure" for psoriasis yet which has worked? The only thing that has helped me recently is being pregnant, which seems to clear it totally, but I can't be continually pregnant and it comes back afterwards! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

HAVE YOU TRIED ALOE VERA?

Forever Living Products make a product called Aloe Propolis Creme which contains masses of Aloe Vera as well as Bee Propolis (a substance with antibiotic properties produced by bees to keep the hive sterile). Importantly it can avoid the need for steroid creams. It is not available in shops - only from F.L.P. distributors and well worth a try as it has a 60 day money back satisfaction guarantee. I am a distributor myself and have customers who have found it helps enormously.
