I have worked in the field of dermatology for some 17 years and have a special interest in eczema. Within my specialist role, I would say that more than half of my caseload is made up of children and adults with eczema. I work very closely with patients, families and carers, advising and teaching them about the disease, the process and the management of their condition. There is a great commitment to support both physical and psychological needs of eczema sufferers.

Other activities include:

  • Trustee of the National Eczema Society
  • Director of Eczema Scotland
  • Nurse Advisor to Skin Care Campaign Scotland
  • Founder Chair of Scottish Dermatological Nursing Society
  • Nurse Advisor to Scottish Executive, Dermatology Redesign Programme for Scotland

Hobbies include cycling, cross country skiing, cooking and wines.

Married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
